Big salute to our new friends in Heaven. Today the Blurt and Schoolkids Records crew knocked on the pearly gates and were greeted by a dreampop/shoegaze/psychedelic chorus of angels. Three of ’em, to be precise – New Yorkers Matt Sumrow (The Comas, Dean and Britta), Mikey Jones (The Big Sleep, Swervedriver), and Ryan Lee Dunlap (Fan-Tan), who are currently on tour in support of their just-released Goodnight Recs label album Telepathic Love. Not familiar with ’em yet? Here’s the video for album track “Colors in the Whites of Your Eyes”:

The NYC-based band swung by the headquarters today and serenaded the staff and customers with a sleek set o’tunes – a very nice way to kick off the weekend. Catch the band if they come to your town, and if you require some sort of RIYL, how about Jesus & Mary Chain, Ride, Spacemen 3, Stone Roses and The Cure? Yeah, that sounds like a nice coctail o’ noise…Below: live at the Blurt/Schoolkids stage: Heaven SK
