Whole lotta dancin’ goin’ on. From the punk band’s upcoming album, due in late March.
The Dollyrots are set to release their sixth studio album Whiplash Splash on March 24. The album will be available on deluxe digipack CD with exclusive poster insert, limited-edition aqua blue vinyl, and digitally on the band’s very own Arrest Youth Label (distribution via MVD). And we’ve got a video to unveil especially for the BLURT readership/viewership. Check out the appropriately titled “Dance Like a Maniac”:
The new album was completely fan-funded through Pledge Music and includes appearances from Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup) and Kay Hanley (Letters to Cleo). The Dollyrots’ signature spirit shines through on every track—a spirit that has been consistently inspiring, such as that time we caught ‘em onstage in Austin at the Scoot Inn. Photog Michael Passman submitted this photo gallery of the evening, in fact.
The band plans to tour in support of the album throughout 2017. The first run of dates feature support by The Two Tens, whose debut album Volume generated reams of critical acclaim. The other week, in fact, we premiered a particularly hot video from the Tens, for their recent single.
