It’s no myth!

When I was in high school, one of my favorite new bands was the Unicorns, and I followed them passionately until they broke up in 2004 on the heels of the 2014 EP and the three members went on to do Islands, Clues, Hidden Words and Human Highway. None of those, while interesting, quite did it for me same way and I always hoped they’d get back together before the decade was out.
Now a ten year plan of sorts has come to fruition: it is indeed 2014 and the Unicorns will be reuniting, temporarily, to open, a string of Arcade Fire shows in August. They’ll do two shows Aug. 1 & 2 at the Forum in L.A. then three at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Aug. 22-24.
The band told Pitchfork that’ll be it, however, with “no touring plans currently outside of those shows. Unicorns also put up a Twitter account and have started posting, including new photos:
