The poster – designed, incidentally, by erstwhile Whiskeytown member Skillet Gilmore – above pretty much speaks for itself. On May 15 at the Haw River Ballroom in Saxapahaw (near Chapel Hill) a who’s-who of prominent Tarheel musicians will band together as North Carolina Musicians United For Equality and kick out the jams from noon until the wee hours of the morning.
A big Blurt salute to the likes of Brett Harris, the dB’s, Southern Culture on the Skids, Jon Heames, the Love Language and the Connells – and the many, many more who are taking part in the event. More details and tickets are HERE.
