Nonprofit CASH Supports Artists; Neko, Thurston, Corin, Others Pitch In

You’ve probably heard of CASH Music, the support-the-artists nonprofit. Now they’ve launched a rowdfunding campaign, CASH Music Family.To draw attention to the campaign a number of generours artists have stepped up to offer exclusive content, including Sleater-Kinney,  Neko Case, Thurston Moore, Will Sheff, Craig Finn, the Haxan Cloak, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner, Jon Wurster (Superchunk, The Mountain Goats), Brendan Canty (Deathfix, Fugazi), and more. Also getting involved are a number of indie labels, including Hardly Art, Polyvinyl, Relapse, Ghostly International, and the Secretly Canadian family.

According to CASH, by donating at least $9 per month you’ll get:


  • A voice in our direction. At least once a quarter we’ll hold a member vote on what features should be built next, who should be nominated for or receive support from The Revolving Fund, and what we need to cover on Watt.
