UPDATE 10/11: Last night (10/10) David Crosby tweeted “I hear Neil said ‘there will never be any more CSNY shows’ that’s like saying there are mountains in Tibet we know Neil ….we already knew…. He is very angry at me.”

Like most of you, I was shocked and saddened to learn that Neil and Pegi Young were getting divorced after 37 years of marriage; my own parents managed to get almost that far, and while they were alive they remained dedicated to each other and their family. Now we learn (via Uncut) that at least one close associate of Neil Young had something to say about the divorce and Young’s decision to take up with actress Daryl Hannah.
David Crosby, who like Young is ¼ of CSN&Y, was quoted in an interview as saying, Thirty-seven years! That’s a freakin’ miracle. And I just don’t feel the urge to go try something new. And I happen to know that he’s hanging out with somebody that’s a purely poisonous predator now. And that’s karma. He’s gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I’m just sad about it. I’m always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter.”
Presumably in response, on Wednesday night (Oct. 8) onstage in Philly Young told the audience that there will be “no more CSNY shows—ever” even though “I love those guys.”
