One of my most cherished concert memories of the late ‘80s was seeing the Jack Bruce-Ginger Baker band in Charlotte; the exact date escapes me. In addition to a couple of shows dating to 1970 and 1975, a Bruce-Baker gig from Peabody’s Down Under in Cleveland Dec. 13, 1989.
You can download the Cleveland show HERE and read more about it, of which Big O notes, “Peabody’s Down Under was a small club, maybe 400 seats. Located in the booming Flats district. It was standing room only on this night.” Note the setlist below, which includes a TON of vintage Cream.
The lineup: Bruce – bass, vocals, harmonica; Baker – drums; Bernie Worrell – keyboards; Blues Saraceno – guitar; Gary ‘Mudbone’ Cooper – percussion. Quite a roster of players, eh?
