Blurt’s favorite band in the universe unveils a new song as well. How do we count thee ways? At least until May…

 By Uncle Blurt

If you have kept track with BLURT since our inception in 2008—all of you have, right, and closely so, right? Right? RIGHT?!? I know you have; I can hear you breathing out there…—you already know that a fan of England’s Archie Bronson Outfit is next to godliness, fanship-wise, in our book. (Go here to read our earlier feature on the band,) So when word arrived that the duo of S. Windett and Arp Cleveland – ABO to you — will release Wild Crush, their fourth album and first since 2010’s Coconut, on May 10th via Domino Record Co., you could say we were chuffed. There’s even word of a new track called “Two Doves on a Lake” already floating around the interwebs. True? Not? Let’s find out, but don’t stare at those tits too long, mate, because your wife might object:

Here’s the deal, courtesy Domino: “Having waved farewell to founding member D Hobday and welcomed live collaborator Kristian Robinson (aka Capitol K) to help with some production and analogue synthesizer duties, the sound of Archie Bronson Outfit in 2014 consists of driving rhythms, howling romance, distortion, and echo, but with a new clarity of vision. The album, recorded in the band’s hometown of Bath and featuring Duke Garwood on baritone sax, is the sound of Archie Bronson moving forward with confidence and surety.

The album will be released on standard LP and limited edition purple-colored vinyl, CD and digitally. Also, for the audiophiles, the album was mastered at half speed for maximum aural pleasure, the first Domino album to use this process.
