All-gal Group Fifth Harmony Affirms “With Barbie, Anything is Possible™”

A BLURT intern just may get fired for posting this news item about the iconic toy and the multi-culti, rainbow-hued band o’ Simon Cowell-mentored young vixens.

Some days we write the news, some days the news writes… you know. And this is just so insanely wrong – because it appeared in our indie/Americana-centric inbox, not that there is anything inherently wrong with the doll OR the group – that it deserves an airing. To wit:

Inspired by the Barbie brand tagline, “With Barbie, Anything is Possible™,” the world’s most popular doll is debuting a new brand anthem to kick off 2014.  Serving as a positive, empowering beacon for girls around the world, the high-energy, catchy pop song will be voiced by all-girl group and music sensation Fifth Harmony.  The partnership with Epic Records / SYCO recording artists Fifth Harmony includes today’s global debut of the lyric music video on, followed by the launch of a music video and a Fifth Harmony Barbie doll collaboration.

“Barbie continues to inspire girls to dream big in 2014 with a new rally cry that celebrates girls and everything in their imaginative dream world,” said Lori Pantel, Vice President, Global Marketing for Barbie.  “As a group of five girls living out their own dreams, Fifth Harmony represents the fun, diverse, aspirational voice that both Barbie and the new anthem are all about– truly showing girls around the world that anything is possible.”

“Barbie is so dynamic and universal, she’s not just blonde hair and blue eyed – she can be something totally different – as different as we are,” says Normani Kordei, of the group. Adds Lauren Jauregui, “Growing up, I considered Barbie my best friend -I took my Barbie Dolls everywhere – so this is like a dream come true.”

The band’s song “Anything is Possible” advises, “I can be anything I want to be // If I can dream it, I can do it // Me and my girls – yeah! // It’s our world – yeah! // Anything is possible // We’re unstoppable // Me and my girls.” Anything is indeed possible. Especially if you are a plastic faced blonde bombshell with an hourglass figure of 36DD tits, an 18-inch waist, and  33-inch hips that top off a balance-a-bottle waitress ass.
