Almost three hours’ worth of stadium-like rawk ‘n’ roll at the Windy City’s Metro venue, and the Pollard gang was still rarin’ to go…

Captain Bob and his good ship GBV docked at the ye olde port of Metro over Labor Day weekend to make merry, on the last date of their tour to southern and western ports of call.
Almost three hours’ worth of stadium-like rawk ‘n’ roll was ladled out to the faithful, some of whom had come from as far away as Dallas to join the locals in an all-hands-on-deck, homecoming-like festival.
It appears that after a mere five days shore leave, HMS GBV will already be back, sailing the tributaries and into ports of call along the eastern portion of the U.S. Don’t be a slack mother landlubber and get left dockside: Jump aboard, raise the main sail, gulp down yer tots of grog, and cheer on the Captain and his mates….
If for no other reason, it’s a good way to guard oneself from the ill effects of scurvy.
The lineup: Robert Pollard (vocals), Kevin March (drums), Doug Gillard (guitar), Bobby Bare Jr. (guitar), Mark Shue (bass). Tour dates are HERE.
