New Chuck Prophet Video Travelogue + 7"

Single will arrive
just in time for Halloween this year…

Chuck Prophet’s label Yep Roc has announced the second part
of an EPK Prophet filmed giving a tour around his city of San Francisco to help
promote his latest album Temple Beautiful.
You can view both parts below.

He also has a new pumpkin orange colored 7 inch coming out
on 10/30. Side A is “Castro Halloween” from Temple Beautiful and
Side B is a song called “I Gotta Get Back” that was recorded during
the sessions for Temple
Beautiful but did not
make it on to the record. “Castro
Halloween,” according to the label, “celebrates, as well as laments the demise of, the legendary
Halloween parties that used to go down annually in San Francisco’s Castro District. Sadly, they
were abruptly canceled/banned by the
city a few years back after some scuffles led to gunfire. The party ended, but
the spirit lives on in this driving rock n roll number with doo-wop vocal
cadences, pulsing rhythms and those ringing guitar lines.” The flipside is
described as “a sort of road song, in that great rock n roll tradition, wailing
with longing and restlessness.”

Prophet heads out on the road later this week, including a high profile appearance at Yep Roc’s anniversary celebration YR15 on Oct. 1. Tour dates are:
