World Party To Do Short Acoustic Tour

Comes on the heels of Wallinger’s sprawling box set

World Party’s Karl Wallinger
will play a run of six rare acoustic dates this fall leading up to a nationwide
tour next spring. Following the successful release of five CD collection, ‘Arkeology’ – read the BLURT review here – which immediately sold out and is currently in its third and largest printing
to date, Wallinger’s upcoming shows will feature David Duffy (violin, mandolin)
and John Turnbull (guitar) on select dates.

Wallinger, incidentally, suffered an aneurism in 2001 that left him unable to
speak or walk and in rehab for 5 years. NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered
talked to Karl about his recovery, this past spring:

9/6 – Altar Bar – Pittsburgh, PA
9/15 – LarkFest – Albany, NY
9/16 – Tin Angel – Philadelphia, PA
9/17 – City Winery – New York, NY
