Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Now Says No

Gadzooks and forsooth,
another band with a fucked up name finds itself in turmoil…

It’s a slow newsday, which means we have to scour the web
for any likely commentary, and luckily Pitchfork is reporting on a genuine
indie-rock tragedy: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is losing both its guitarist/keyboardist
and bassist to the vicissitudes of commerce and industry. According to
Pitchfork:

Guitarist Robbie Guertin said he’s “decided to
move on and see what’s next,” with plans to continue his other band, Radical Dads, in which
he sings and plays drums. He’ll also “pursue miscellaneous artistic
endeavours, and also grow some vegetables… maybe some tomatoes?” The
rest of his very appreciative message is here.”

And then bassist Tyler Sargent “wrote today on the band’s
website, “I am very proud of what this band has accomplished over the past
eight years,” and noted he’s “currently in the process of forming a
presidential exploratory committee for 2016.” Read his full note here.”

Damn. Life just sucks sometimes… But hey, what about that
new Twin Shadow album!
