The Village Voice reports on the unexpected event…

By Blurt Staff

Last night at Brooklyn’s PUblic Assembly club, in conjunction with the premiere of the Hit So Hard documentary about erstwhile Hole drummer Patty Schemel, the full Hole band wound up onstage together – yep, that would be Schemel, guitarist Eric Erlandson, and bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur, and vocalist/guitarist Courtney Love, if you can believe it.

It’s the first time they’ve performed together in 15 years. Below, watch the video:

According to the text accompanying the video, which was shot by Greg Frederick, “Hole reunites after 15 yrs. at the after party for the release of
rockumentary Hit So Hard. (pattydoc.com) based on drummer Patty Schemel
who played with past band members Melissa Auf der Maur, Eric Erlandson
and Courtney Love as they hit the stage at Public Assembly in
Williamsburg, BK. April 14, 2012, 15 Years after last playing music
together.

“Courtney jumps on stage to play Miss World after waiting for Eric to tune her guitar and Patty to find her a strap. Spoiler alert: Courtney jumps back on stage for Over The Edg.”
