Spank Rock Remixed; Nutty Video Unveiled

Chopped version of “Nasty,”
indeed. Let’s snort some eggs, kids.

Philly-based, Baltimore-bred underground hip-hop impresario Spank
Rock has commissioned the remixing work of some of the industry’s most
interesting new voices for the E.I.B.A.E.I.A.F.L
(Remixes)
EP, out today, April 10th on Bad Blood Records.  The EP
features remixes of standout tracks from Everything
is Boring and Everyone is a Fucking Liar,
including “Car Song,”
which features genre-mashing renegade Santigold, and “Nasty,”
featuring NOLA bounce godmother Big Freedia.

The remixed tracks, worked by the likes of Shabazz Palaces,
Sebastian, Addison Groove and SCNTST, have a decidedly dystopian futuristic
tone, highlighted by fierce electro flourishes and distorted breathy
vocals.  This progressive sentiment is further underlined by Spank Rock’s
ever growing presence in fine art world, as exemplified in this Alex Da Corte
short video set (“A Season In Hell”) to a chopped version of “Nasty”:
