With the
new Shins album Port of Morrow set to arrive in stores March 20, the beloved  band has come up with an intriguing means of
helping get the word out. Exclusively in its iPad App,
NPR Music will live video broadcast The Shins in
tonighe, Wednesday, March 7 at 10PM (ET). The entire show will be
available for live, free streaming via the App, which is available now as a
free download in the App Store.

Ahead of
the new album and tour, The Shins will perform especially for fans and NPR
Music. Audiences worldwide will have the opportunity to share the experience as
it happens through the recently launched NPR Music iPad App. During the show,
tweet along: #nprtheshins.

A version
of the concert will be archived for later viewing at NPR
on Friday, March 9; the live broadcast will also air on public radio
stations WFUV New York and WXPN Philadelphia. The invitation-only event will
take place at (Le) Poisson Rouge in New
York City and is supported in part by Lexus, the
exclusive launch sponsor of the NPR Music iPad App.
