NME reports that the erstwhile Clash guitarist, having enjoyed
a successful benefit concert in Liverpool this
year, decided to expand things, saying, “It was just a fantastic, fantastic
thing. I was very pleased to be asked and it went so well, so we thought we’d
might try and do some more.”

Also on the tour for selected dates” former Wah! Frontman Pete

In semi-related news, actress Julie Delpy, who in the past
has occasionally moved from in front of to behind the camera, has announced she
will be directing a Joe Strummer biopic called The Right Profile. It’s
reported by Variety that the film will be produced by Simon Halfon and will focus
on the late Clash frontman’s life circa 1982 when he disappeared from the band
and from the public for a spell.
