Cheap Trick Stage Collapses at Festival

It may have seemed
like a cheap trick to cynical concertgoers, but to at least one driver for the
band, it was no joke.

As CNN.com reports, yesterday at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest,
a fast-moving storm blew up during Cheap Trick’s set and blew down the stage. Apparently
a driver for the band was sent to the hospital, but no one else was seriously
injured, however.

According the band’s website, “The stage blew down and
collapsed. Everyone is shaken up but band and crew are all fine.” CNN
noted that the other stages at the event had to close during the storm. Go to
the CNN link to view video – meanwhile, a few shaky fan-shot clips have
surfaced on YouTube, along with a news account (below).
