Bob Mould is currently on tour, presenting a series of live
events to celebrate the release of his new autobiography, SEE A LITTLE LIGHT: The Trail of Rage and Melody, published by
Little, Brown and written with music critic Michael Azerrad.
In the upcoming BLURT review of the book next week we praise
Mould for his “attention to detail… the flow is never encumbered by minutiae.
Azzerad’s organizational talents no doubt helped the concision of his
biography, but Mould is a good writer in his own right. Husker fans can finally
get the full story behind the band’s most enigmatic member, and anyone remotely
curious about Mould will burn through this book. Bob Mould commits his entire
being to his work, and this biography is no exception. It’s heartfelt,
informative, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more engaging music read this
summer.”
To that end, “See A Little Light: An Evening of Reading and
Music,” features Mould readings interspersed with solo performances of music
from throughout his career, and includes songs he recorded during his time with
Hüsker Dü, Sugar, and as a solo artist. (He is also making appearances with BLOWOFF,
DJ duo he founded with producer/remixer Rich Morel. In July, Mould will
accompany the Foo Fighters to London, where he
will DJ in front of an audience of 65,000 per night at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes.) See the full itinerary, below.
Mould recently appeared on WNYC’s Soundcheck to discuss the
