Return of The Greenhornes!

First new album in
nearly a decade…

By Blurt Staff

It’s being billed as The Greenhorne’s “first full length
since 2002,” and while the Cincinnati
garage kings have had a few privately-issued releases, CDR titles and reissues
since 2002’s acclaimed Dual Mono, the
news should be enough to cheer any fan of the band. Titled **** (no doubt in order to make Googling the band wayyyy easy…), it
arrives Nov. 9 on Jack White’s Third Man label and will be pressed on four
different colors of vinyl.

The band, of course, comprises White’s Raconteurs buddies
Jack Lawrence (also of the Dead Weather) and Patrick Keeler (who appears on the
new album by the Parting Gifts), and the album is 12 songs of glam-pop, moody
psych and garage-rock. It was produced by John Curley and will feature liner
notes by Jim Jarmusch – the filmmaker, you may recall, tapped Greenhornes song “There
Is An End” for his 2005 film Broken
Flowers.
