New Beastie Boys Tracks Stealth-Released

Songs included on a
freebie 45 nobody knew about.

Word’s just in from Pitchfork that a pair of new Beastie
Boys tracks, “Lee Majors Come Again” and “B Boys in the Cut,” recently slipped
out the old fashioned way: not by an Internet leak, but on a 7-inch 45.

Pitchfork was tipped to this by Beasties-centric site Mic To
Mic, which is currently streaming the tunes. Apparently, inserted in random
copies of the recent Check Your Head deluxe vinyl reissue was a bonus single featuring the two songs. “Lee Majors
Come Again” is described as “rap over hardcore instrumentation,” while “B Boys
in the Cut” is an a cappella number that Mic To Mic says will be familiar to
fans who’ve heard the Beasties’ “My New Name is Larry” routine.

Check ‘em both out at the Mic to Mic site.
