Oasis Giving Away Free Live Album


Benefit for Britain’s
Teenage Cancer Trust

NME.com is reporting that Oasis and guitarist Noel Gallagher
are planning on giving away a collection of free tunes this month as part of a
promotion to raise awareness for Britain’s Teenage Cancer Trust. On
March 15 London’s The Times will come
bundled with an 11-song CD, while a few days earlier, starting March 10, five
songs will be offered as free downloads from iTunes – readers of The Times will be able to obtain the
links to the downloads, one per day, on March 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. Then,
starting March 16, all the songs will be available at various download sites.


According to the NME “the songs are collectively titled The Dreams We Have As Children (a lyric
from the song ‘Fade Away) [and] were recorded by Gallagher when he performed at the
London Royal Albert Hall
on March 27, 2007 for a Teenage Cancer Trust charity show…. A donation in exchange for use of the songs has been given to
Teenage Cancer Trust.”
