Jenny Owen Youngs Preps for Failure

The gal electrifies her sound

By Blurt Staff

It’s spring and sophomore albums
are in full bloom.

Jenny Owen Youngs’ album Transmitter Failure, is scheduled for
May 26 release. Publicists call the album a “hold departure from her 2007
release Batten the Hatches which won
her a record deal with Nettwerk.

Produced by Dan Romer (Ingrid
Michaelson, April Smith, The Woes) this album moves Youngs away from acoustic
guitar and brings multi-layered electrics to her sound.

Watch for an EP as well, titled Led to the Sea, on April 7.
