Alejandro Escovedo will be in Denver tomorrow to rock the Democratic
National Convention. On August 26th he’ll perform live from the
Pepsi Center at 5:45 p.m. (MST) as part of the DNC’s nighttime program which
will feature Senator Hillary Clinton as the evening’s prime-time headliner
speaker.  Escovedo is slated to perform
“People (We’re Only Gonna Live So Long)” from Real Animal.

“These are unbalanced time, and great change is
needed,” says Escovedo, who is playing the Democratic National Convention
for the first time. “To be included in this celebration of the dignity and
freedom of women and minorities is an honor.”

Later in the week, Escovedo will play at the Harley-Davidson
105th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee
on August 30th, on the same bill as Bruce Springsteen. He’ll follow it up with
a West Coast tour kicking off in San
Diego on September 8th.
