Secret Machines Prep New LP, Tour

Not gonna work on Maggie’s farm no
more, no sir.

So, let’s see if we got this right: the Secret Machines’ 2006 release Ten Silver Drops came out on Reprise —
and promptly went nowhere. (Being a blog juggernaut in 2006 didn’t count for as
much as it would nowadays.) Gee, you don’t think the band got soured on its major label experience, do ya? Anyhow, the New York psych/dreampop
outfit is now with the World’s Fair Label Group and has plans to self-release a
full-length, its third, in the fall of 2008 with assists from World’s Fair.

While you Secret Machines fans digest that news, the band will be hitting
the road this weekend for a U.S.
tour that’ll stretch into mid August. Catch ‘em live….
