Beck For Fall Tour

Is Beck feeling any “modern guilt” for not  giving us much of an extensive tour, hmmm?

By Fred Mills

With Beck’s Danger Mouse-produced album Modern Guilt in stores and doing gangbusters — you can read the
BLURT in-depth review HERE — it’s time to start thinking about some road work.
To that end, the Eclectic One has announced a U.S. tour that will start in
August.

Full itinerary below, although it’s not a very extensive tour, and with just a couple of exceptions it’s restricted to major markets (which, if you’ve been paying attention, is increasingly the norm for a lot of acts mindful of gas and transportation costs these days, although the Beck tour still seems unnecessarily chintzy). Tickets go on sale July 18, so check out Beck.com
for more details.

Also, this just in from the Beck camp:

As always, Beck’s creativity
extends into the presentation of his music. The vinyl edition of Modern
Guilt
, which will be in stores July 22, includes download codes for
high-fidelity (320 kbps) MP3s produced from a playback of the vinyl master. In
other words, the first MP3 starts with a needle drop, and the ten MP3s will
sound like a vinyl playback. Leave it to Beck to invent the first mobile
turntable.
