This is your brain on festivals. Any questions?

Things I learned at Riot Fest this year……
Lemmy is not indestructible (Motorhead had to cancel as Lemmy got altitude sickness).
Even jam band fans like the Black Lips.
System of a Down is more popular than I ever thought (unfortunately).
There’s actually a band called The Airborne Toxic Event.
Ice Cube still likes to sneer (despite being in Disney movies).
Swervedriver were not as pasty white as I’d imagined (and were awfully good).
The members of the Dead Milkmen have actually aged.
The Vandals have one great song (“Urban Struggle”).
The Damned still got it after all these years.
The Joy Formidable’s set was one long song (or so it seemed).
I still never want to see The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.
Drive Like Jehu had more people in the crowd on this night than all of their previous gigs combined.
Kevin Seconds (of 7 Seconds) is still the nicest guy around.
The heat peaked during OFF!’s set, so glad their sets are short.
Andrew W.K. and his band are thoroughly entertaining!
Nada Surf gained some new fans (and they really deserved it….great set!).
Babes in Toyland sound exactly the same as they did in 1991.
Reverend Horton Heat doesn’t know how to cut a set a little shirt.
L-7 used some of their same early 90’s jokes (and I still laughed).
Bands like Rancid and tenacious D should start their sets earlier for my old fart benefit.
Fuck The Prodigy.
