Supergroups come and supergroups go, of course, and Sunday night they one of them came — back, that is. Monsters of Folk played a handful of songs during M. Ward’s opening set for Brian Wilson in L.A. at the Hollywood Bowl, or more precisely 3 out of 4 Monsters. While Mike Mogis was not on hand, Conor Oberst and Jim James hooked up with Ward to do “Whole Lotta Losin,” “Vincent O’Brien” and “To Save Me.” (The first one is the only one originally from the MoF album.)
