You think it’s been a crappy start of winter? Think of moving your little rock band to a place where there’s “more opportunity” – like Seattle, perhaps? Nuh-huh; that’s like, soooo ’90s, dude. Put those flannels and Docs away, because otherwise you’ll be moving to Bummersville, USA.
According to Mental Floss, “Thanks to the recent onslaught of flooding rains, Monday, December 7, 2015, will go down as the darkest day in Seattle in almost nine years.” That’s pretty dark, considering.
The story continues: “Seattle, Washington, has a reputation for the kind of weather that would depress a duck. The photo above was taken on December 7, 2015, and though it depicts a bar in Pioneer Square, it could’ve just as well been describing Seattleites’ feelings about the weather that day…. According to meteorologist Scott Sistek at KOMO News, it was the darkest day recorded at the University of Washington in Seattle since December 14, 2006, and the second-darkest day recorded in the city in the 21st century. ”
