Last week we posted the sad news about the passing of Scott Miller (Game Theroy/Loud Family pop auteur). He left behind a wife and two daughters, and now a memorial fund has been set up for the purpose of “providing some financial support for the educational future of [the daughters] and in honor of Scott.”
Pledges at the Miller GoFundMe page, which was set up by fellow musician and longtime Miller pal Jozef Becker, have been flowing in from friends, associates and fans; as of this writing more than $19,000 has been raised, with a target goal of $45,000. We at BLURT cannot say enough about the musical wealth that Scott Miller bestowed upon the world, not to mention the importance of assuring young children a bright future, so please consider making a donation.

Meanwhile, on Monday, April 29, at The Garage venue in Winston-Salem NC, there is to be a concert celebrating the music of Scott Miller, with proceeds from the door going to the Miller family. It’s being organized by W-S area musicians The Vagabond Saints Society – you can visit their Facebook page here and check out details of the show itself here.
