Ryan Adams is the album’s name, and Sept. 9 is the album’s game – or, more specifically, the release date for Ryan Adams’ first full-lengthy since 2011’s Ashes & Fire. Produced by Adams at his Pax Am Studio in L.A., it’s also the first to be released on the combined Pax Am/Blue Note imprint.

It’s preceded by the July 1 debut installment of the Pax Am 7” vinyl single series, album opener “Gimme Something Good.”  (At press time, the single, which also features non-LP B-side “Aching For More,” had hit #1 at the Amazon.com music store, marking the first time a physical single has ever been the store’s top-seller. It officially arrived in physical stores this week as well.)
