Almost, but not quite, a Rage reunion. Above: note the Rage-esque graphics on the band’s poster.

They’re calling themselves Prophets of Rage (http://prophetsofrage.com/) and they are Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk from Rage Against the Machine along with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. As Billboard is reporting, this supergroup, named after a PE song, will be performing June 3 in Los Angeles and there’s also probably going to be a summer tour.

Writes Bilboard, “Recently, Rage Against the Machine — inactive since 2011 — launched a website counting down to June 1, adorned with #TakeThePowerBack, which also appeared on posters displayed around their hometown of Los Angeles. Naturally, people wondered if Rage was getting back together.”

Zack de la Rocha, the singer for Rage, is pointedly not included in the new group.
