NYC’s WFUV-FM, based at Fordham University, has steadily becoming a go-to venue for musicians, both young and older, with everyone from the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Violent Femmes, and Steely Dan to River Whyless, Regina Spektor, and the Head and the Heart all appearing live recently, As did the female dreampop quartet Warpaint, promoting their latest album Heads Up (watch for a review on our site this week). The group is Emily Kokal (vocals, guitar), Theresa Wayman (vocals, guitar), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass, backing vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums). Below, listen to an in-studio performance recorded in August and broadcast last week, and as a bonus you can watch them doing two of the tracks, both from the album, including the brilliant first single, “New Song.”
