The singer-songwriter is one of America’s true musical gems. “Cindy Lee’s capacity as a lyricist is unique, ..peerless…I get the impression she knows her legacy will outlive her” -Van Dyke Parks

Folk-rocker Cindy Lee Berryhill has announced her first album in 7 years, coming on the heels of her husband’s death; the grandaddy of rock critics, Paul Williams, weathered a brain injury and early onset dementia before passing away last year, and Berryhill’s Contemplating the Infinite From the Tar Pits of Love will no doubt chronicle much of their life and love together.
So she’s mounting a Kickstarter campaign for funding, noting at the campaign page, “He left behind our little family, i.e., myself and our 13-year-old son. What would Paul want for us? He’d want us to continue to pursue our passions. So Alexander is diving into technology and physics, and I have spent the last few years writing new songs.”
The campaign ends TOMORROW, December 15, and the good news is that Berryhill’s goal of $16k has already been met; as of this writing she’s generated $16,295. But don’t let that deter you from getting involved!
Fans who pledge in the campaign can score everything from signed CDs, handwritten lyrics and vinyl records to “executive producer” credit on the album, a special house concert and a very personal Skype guitar lesson from you-know-who.
