A first for both NPR and SXSW.

NPR
Music
will offer a live worldwide webcast and broadcast of Bruce
Springsteen’s keynote from the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference and
Festival, on Thursday, March 15. This is the first time a SXSW music keynote or
conference session will be streamed to everyone,
everywhere.

The entire event will be available at NPR
Music, via the NPR Music iPhone and iPad apps and at SXSW.com. The NPR Music
broadcast will also air on many public radio stations across the country,
including WXPN Philadelphia and WFUV New York (check local listings). NPR Music
critic Ann Powers will host a blog during the keynote, and take questions from
audiences around the world. Tune in live, Thursday, March 15 at noon (CT)/1PM
(ET).

Yesterday at NPR Music fans got an exclusive
listen to ‘Rocky Ground,’
a new track from Springsteen’s forthcoming record
Wrecking Ball.
