Springsteen Blitz Set for Fallon Show

Don’t expect a reprise
of “Whip My Hair,” however… which you can see, below.

The Boss is back – with a new album, natch, plus a high
profile keynote appearance at SXSW followed by the kickoff of a tour (in Atlanta, March 18). Prior
to all that, however, he’ll be a weeklong fixture (of sorts) on the Late Night
With Jimmy Fallon show next week.
Rolling Stone reports that on Monday (Feb. 27) the E Street Band will do a pair
of songs, and then on Friday (March 2) Springsteen will perform and sit for an
interview as that night’s only guest.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday Kenny Chesney will do a live version
of Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” and on Thursday Elvis Costello will drop in to
do “Brilliant Disguise” with the Roots. Keep watching the Fallon show website find out what they are cooking up for
Wednesday.

In November of 2010 The Boss appeared on the program for an
interview and several songs, including the infamous Bruce-Fallon (as “Neil
Young”) cover of “Whip My Hair.” Unfortunately NBC-Universal has forced most of
the sites that posted the clips to take ‘em down (such as at The Audio Perv) –
but if you are diligent and know where to look, you’ll be able to find ‘em.
